Japan Condemns Israeli Strike on Qatar, Calls for Ceasefire Talks

Date:

Japan has strongly condemned Israel’s airstrike on Qatari territory, warning that it undermines Qatar’s sovereignty and threatens regional stability. Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi described the attack as a serious obstacle to ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at securing a ceasefire in Gaza and achieving the release of hostages.

Tokyo expressed solidarity with Qatar, urging Israel to return to negotiations and prioritize diplomacy over escalation. The strike, which targeted Hamas leaders in Doha, has further heightened tensions across the Middle East and raised concerns of broader instability.
